Terms & Conditions

Why are shipping charges so expensive?
The weight of bottles is heavy. In addition, UPS and FedEx both charge an additional fee for requiring a signature of an adult at least 21 years old.

Why do you not ship to my state?
After Prohibition, alcohol laws became the responsibility of each individual state. Some states have an agreement to allow shipment of alcohol between them (also know as reciprocal states). Some states allow direct shipment of beer to consumer; however, many states do not allow this. In addition, some states have a maximum that one can order during a specified period of time.

Just because your state may allow direct wine sales shipped to consumer, does not necessarily mean that malt beverages (beer) is legal. Some legislators are trying to create additional barriers such as licensing fees and e-commerce web site to ship only to the in-state distributor or retailer. The consumer then has to go pick the product and the distributor or retailer would charge a “handling fee”. The public is becoming more aware and outraged by some of the current laws and are challenging lawmakers.

This is just touching the tip of the iceberg and Bottle Trek encourages consumers to get more information and help open state borders.

We currently do NOT ship to these states, so please do not even try: GA,VT,KY,UT,OK,TN,MD,MA,WY,PA

Why do you require minimum orders?
The minimum 22 oz and 750 ml bottles you can order are 4 bottles and for 12 oz bottles we require a minimum of 6 bottles. You can mix and match sizes, but you must have a minimum of 6 bottles. It is not cost effective for you or Bottle Trek to ship anything less. How could you possibly buy less with the amount of quality brews we have to offer?

Can I return any of the beer I order?
Sorry, you cannot return any of the beers you order. See return-refund policy.

Do you take phone orders?
We would prefer you to use our very secure web site using Secure Socket Layers(SSL), which is the industry standard in transferring information to process your orders. The SSL encrypts, or translates, your order information into a highly indecipherable code, which is processed immediately. However, if you are still an e-commerce phobe, we can take orders over the phone. Our number is 1-541-603-3870.
How will I know when my order has been shipped?
We know you are anxiously waiting for your beer, so we try our best to fill your order within 5 business days. You will also receive a tracking number from our carrier via email when your order has been shipped. If by some weird chance we do not have one of your beers in stock, we will contact you with several different options.

Can I have it shipped somewhere else other than my address?
Yes, but you must follow the two rules. First, whoever is receiving the order must be 21 years or older. Second, it can only be shipped to the states we are allowed to ship too. Bottle Trek actually encourages you to have your order sent to your place of work to minimize missed shipments and underage recipients.

When will the first Beer-of-the-Month package ship?
Orders placed before the 20th of any particular month will be shipped out on or near the 25th of that month. Orders placed after the 20th will be shipped on or near the 25th of the following month. Exceptions can be made depending on availability. Because of the high shipping costs, we are unable to offer beer of the month club membership to residents of Alaska and Hawaii.
